Man Arrested for Stabbing in Downtown Ventura
VENTURA, Calif. - A man was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Sunday morning in downtown Ventura.
According to Ventura police, it happened just after 5 a.m. on the 60 block of California Street, between Main and Santa Clara Streets. A fight broke out between a group of people, which ended when one of the men involved was stabbed with a knife.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries. A 37-year-old Ventura resident was arrested for the stabbing and booked at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
