Five Sheriff’s Deputies graduate Allan Hancock College Basic Law Enforcement Academy
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif.- The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to welcome five new Sheriff’s Deputies to their team .
The five new sheriff’s deputies graduated from the Allan Hancock College Basic Law Enforcement. The class of 19 recruits completed a comprehensive California Peace Officer Standards and Training , 862-hour course of instruction. Some of the academy instruction included community policing, report writing, laws of arrest, search and seizure, firearms, ethics, investigation procedures, patrol techniques, arrest and control, physical training, CPR/First Aid, and emergency vehicle operations.
Undersheriff Sol Linver led a swearing-in ceremony where he welcomed Eric Brimer, David Cardenas, Jesse Evert, Christian Harrington, and Ross VanTassel. The ceremony marked a beginning milestone in each deputies’ career.
