Goleta woman crosses border into Mexico after losing battle with ICE
Juana Maria Flores and her husband Andres are in Mexico after losing an appeal to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to keep her in the country.
The couple departed Goleta on Sunday night and arrived in El Paso, Texas the next day.
Juana Maria Flores turned in her paperwork to officials at the U.S. Consulate, then crossed the border into Mexico.
Reached by phone, Andres Flores said they had reached the city of Juarez, and should arrive in Aguas Calientes, her final destination, by Wednesday.
