Dream Foundation makes final Dream come true for Goleta woman

An 84-year-old Goleta woman had her final Dream fulfilled with the help of Dream Foundation.

Francis Arai was born in Japan and separated from her parents at a young age. Arai was raised by nuns in Japanese internment camps in Oregon during World War II.

Arai shares stories with her social workers and recalls fond memories of her childhood in her native country.

Her last request was a simple one–to dress up in a kimono and dine out at Kyoto’s Japanese Restaurant.

Dream Foundation put together Arai’s special night, complete with wardrobe, hair and make-up. She even took part in a special photography session to commemorate the evening.

Dream Foundation s erves terminally-ill adults and their families locally and around the country by providing end-of-life Dreams that offer comfort and closure.
