Foresters cite teamwork for making Pershing Park new home

Welcome to Pershing Park.

The Santa Barbara Foresters held a press conference on Friday afternoon to discuss their new home, just blocks away from Santa Barbara’s waterfront.

Foresters manager Bill Pintard thanked all of the organizations that came together to make it happen such as the City of Santa Barbara, Parks and Recreation, Santa Barbara City College, softball and others.

Santa Barbara’s first home game is June 9 at Pershing Park at 6pm

The Foresters had spent the past 26 seasons at UCSB before that relationship ended.

Santa Barbara has won a record-tying six National Baseball Congress World Series titles.
