Verizon suffers major outages along central coast

Residents in central California reported wide-spread outages on the Verizon network Saturday afternoon.

The outages affected Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo Counties.

The online outage tracker Down Detector showed hundreds of reports from across central California and reported that there were problems at Verizon.

As of 4:00 p.m. PST, service had been restored to most Verizon customers, but some still reported issues with their cellular service.
