Carpinteria rushes into the playoffs in football

Behind a strong running game the Carpinteria Warriors enter the CIF Division 12 playoffs as an at-large entry.

The Warriors are on the road to face St. Genevieve on Friday at Crespi High School.

Carpinteria is hoping that Mikey Garibay, Jacob Garside and Vance Keiser will be able to move the chains on the ground and keep the ball away from their speedy opponent.

Carp won three of its last four games to make the playoffs.
