Foothill School Grieves After Goleta Valley Triple Murder

Foothill Elementary School in Goleta is once again at the center of a tragedy.

5-year old Emily Han, was found murdered along with her parents, Dr. Weidong Henry Han, and Huijie Jennie Yu, inside their home on the 4600 block of Greenhill Way on Thursday.

Emily was in Kindergarten at Foothill Elementary.

She would have turned six on Saturday.

This is the second time the campus has dealt with the brutal murder of one of its students.

In 2014, 10-year old Vincent Holzer, his brother, 13-year-old Sebastian and grandparents were fatally stabbed by his father Nicolas Holzer.

Vincent was a student at Foothill Elementary.

On Friday, administrators set up a comfort center on campus.

Counselors from around the community and school district will be there to help parents, students and teachers grieve the loss of Emily.

Foothill Elementary is on Spring break.

Students will return to campus on Monday, April 4.

School officials said more counseling will be made available to students and parents.
