Former Dos Pueblos Student Killed By Ex-Boyfriend

A former Santa Barbara high student is accused of two counts of murder. The victims are former Dos Pueblos high athlete Emily Fox and her boyfriend Jerrad Scott.

Los Angeles police found Fox and Scott murdered in an apartment in San Fernando Valley. Emily was 22 years old and her boyfriend Jerrad Scott was 24.

Fox graduated from Dos Pueblos high school in 2011 and was a three-time All-Channel League golfer that helped lead her team to four league championships.

Reports indicate Emily called 911 for help telling dispatchers an ex-boyfriend was in her apartment, armed with a gun. Brian Gonzales (also known as Brian Hammon) was arrested and is being held without bail. Gonzales attended Santa Barbara high school for a short amount of time. If convicted Gonzales could face the death penalty.

Arraignment date is set for February 26th.

Memorial Services for Emily are being planned for Saturday, Jan. 30th at Dos Pueblos high school.
