Dons Hold Off Royals to Stay in First Place in Boys Basketball

Santa Barbara answered every run by San Marcos in a 47-43 win in front of a wild crowd at JR Richards Gymnasium.

The home Dons led 24-17 at the half and the Royals pulled within two points in the third quarter and again in the fourth quarter but Santa Barbara never relinquished the lead.

Bolden Brace scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Dons improve to 4-1 in the Channel League to remain tied for first with Ventura. San Marcos fell out of first as they are 3-2.

Tyson Miller led the Royals with 12 points.
