Moore will receive Musial Sportsmanship Award

Westmont’s National Championship basketball story keeps getting better. Head Coach Kirsten Moore will receive the NAIA-National Sportsmanship Foundation “All that’s Right in Sport” Award this fall in St. Louis. She will be honored at the Stan Musial Awards on November 9.

Moore guided the Warriors to a National Championship in March. She lost her husband Alexin May of 2012 after he died as a result of complications to surgery for Crohn’s disease. Just seven weeks after Alex’s death, Kirsten gave birth to the couple’s only child and named her Alexis in honor of her father.
