Mild Flu Season in Tri-Counties

Tri-County health officials say it has been a mild flu season in our area so far. There have only been 22 confirmed cases of influenza in Santa Barbara County.In other parts of the country, it is one of the earliest and worst flu seasons in a decade. 18 states have epidemic levels of the virus.Santa Barbara County health officials say they would not be surprised to see a big spike in flu cases in our area over the next few months.There is still time to get vaccinated. But, Santa Barbara County Public Health is in short supply of the vaccine, which means there are no more planned free vaccination clinics.
