Woman’s Body Found On Beach

Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue teams have recovered a woman’s body that was found on More Mesa Beach in Santa Barbara Tuesday afternoon. Around 3:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a ‘welfare check’ call about a woman’s body spotted on the rocks at the bottom a cliff.Upon arriving, authorities determined that the woman, believed to be in her 60s, was deceased.Her identity is being withheld until family members are notified.Sheriff’s officials also say they are not releasing her name as investigators try to determine if she took her own life.
