Suspect arrested after brief standoff in Santa Maria

Santa Maria police arrested a suspect late Friday night after a brief standoff outside a Santa Maria home.

Officers surrounded the house on the 900 block of West Lee Drive near Oakley Avenue.

A reporter on scene said that officers with guns drawn were calling the name Marcos Rodriquez.

Just before 9:00 p.m., police got the go-ahead to breach the house and the suspect was apprehended peacefully.

The suspect is believed to be wanted on domestic violence charges.
