Lompoc police recover thousands in stolen tools
The Lompoc Police Department has recovered a number of stolen items, many of them expensive tools, worth thousands of dollars.
Three people have been arrested in what authorities are calling one of the largest theft busts ever in Lompoc. Police say these alleged thieves started stealing everything from power tools to construction material in October and spilled over into November, hitting homes, businesses and even the school district.
While serving two search warrants, police found half of $20,000 in stolen property, and more than $5,000 in heroin.
Adam Enticknap, the owner of Allied Fence in Lompoc, was recently hit for more than $5,000 worth of tools and materials. Police recovered about $2,200 worth of his property.
“Sure enough, about a week later, we got hit two nights in a row and they just came and cleaned off the trucks, broke into the yard, broke the doors off, and cleaned us out,” said Enticknap.
Stolen property is still waiting to be claimed at the Lompoc Police Department.
Authorities are still looking for more suspects in this case. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lompoc Police Department at 805-736-2341.
