Strawberry Festival Poster Winner Revealed at Oxnard Luncheon

The 33rd annual California Strawberry Festival poster contest winner was revealed at a luncheon Tuesday. Eileen Maloney of Camarillo crafted the winning entry.

The poster shows a paint palette with strawberries in various stages of ripeness, ranging in color from yellow to purple. A rainbow is dotted with fully ripened strawberries, with a paint brush actively making the final strokes, filling out the final strawberry.

Maloney attended the luncheon to sign take home posters of the winning design.
She was awarded a prize of $2,000.

This year’s winner carries on the revered tradition of an original work
that captures the essence of the weekend celebration, gracing merchandise
available on site.

The 2016 California Strawberry Festival gets underway Saturday and Sunday, May 21 , 22, 2016 at Strawberry Meadows of College Park in Oxnard.
