Stuck Poodle Rescued by Santa Barbara City Firefighters, Police

Man was a dog’s best friend Sunday afternoon. Santa Barbara City firefighters and Santa Barbara police rescued a pooch who had gotten stuck in an iron railing on a second-story balcony located in the 4000 block of Via Lucero.

It’s unknown how the furry poodle, named YOFI, became stuck in the railing, but rescue crews freed the canine within five minutes with a crowd of bystanders looking on.

Firefighters had to spread the railing apart using the Halligan tool for YOFI, who had his front and mid torso sticking though the railing, to be let out safely.

YOFI was not injured, and thanked his rescuers with a few friendly licks and a wag of the tail.
