Large Industrial Fire Damages Santa Maria Facility
Santa Maria fire investigators have determined the cause of a large industrial fire at a manufacturing facility does not appear to be suspicious.
The fire broke out about 10 p.m. Tuesday at 1563 West Betteravia Road. Firefighters arrived on scene and found a large fire burning stacks of pallets, machinery, vehicles and out buildings.
Fire investigators released a report late Thursday night indicating the cause of the fire does not appear to be the result of any “malicious intent”. They believe the fire started near a work area where the pallets are assembled and disassembled.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown.
