Dons season ends in baseball
La Mirada made all of the plays and blew open a tight game with a six-run seventh inning as they knocked off Santa Barbara 10-0 in a CIF Division II playoff game.
The Dons made three costly errors that helped La Mirada score two runs in the third inning and two more in the fifth inning to lead 4-0. Santa Barbara had a few opportunities to score but could not get a big hit off of Blake Wilson who pitched a six-hit shutout at Eddie Mathews Field.
Santa Barbara finishes the year 19-8-1.
