One dead, another injured after car crash in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – One person died and another suffered serious injuries after a car crash inside City Lot 10 in Santa Barbara just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.

SBPD officers received calls about a single car crash inside the City Lot at 600 Anacapa Street after the vehicle hit a pillar in the structure.

SBPD officers then began immediate life saving measures for both people in the car before Santa Barbara Fire crews arrived with paramedics for further emergency medical care.

Paramedics took the driver to Cottage Hospital for further medical treatment and despite life saving measures, the passenger died from their injuries at the scene, according to the SBPD.

The crash remains under investigation and no further information is available to Your News Channel at this time.
