Santa Barbara Festival Puts World’s Environmental Issues on Display

Brave New Work 2.0

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - A Santa Barbara festival is using art and technology to help people better understand environmental change.

For its second annual public art exhibition, Brave New Work 2.0 is bringing together artists and researchers right here in Santa Barbara. Through installations and interactive projects focused on climate and other environmental issues, the 3-day event will highlight art, science, and technology in a unique way.

The work turns research and data into visual experiences people can see and explore.

Projects are designed to make complex topics easier to understand while encouraging people to think about how environmental changes are affecting communities.

The festival will take place inside the former Staple building on State Street (410 State Street) and will give visitors a different way to connect with issues that can often feel distant or difficult to explain.
