Warmer Wednesday, clearing trend

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Warming and clearing begins Wednesday with temperatures back to near or above normal.

Some mild cloud coverage is likely Thursday, with offshore winds kicking in before the weekend.

Friday through Sunday will be extra warm, clear and windy with weak to moderate Santa Anas likely to develop, and local temperatures hitting or passing 80 degrees.

Heat and wind alerts may be issued for the weekend with northeast winds between 20 and 40 mph expected.

Warm weather lingers into next week before an early chance for rain after Veterans Day.
