Cold morning temperatures on the way…

KEYT

The upper level trough that brought all the rain to the region will continue moving towards the east Monday night! High pressure will build in Tuesday and Wednesday.

Clear skies during the nighttime hours will set the stage for cold temperatures to develop Tuesday and Wednesday morning. There is a freeze watch in place through early Tuesday morning for the Santa Ynez Valley and Ojai Valley. Some locations will see lows between 29 and 32 degrees.

For other areas up and down the coast, highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will remain about three to six degrees below normal, topping off in the mid 50s. Definitely keep that coat handy!

We’ll be watching an upper level low in the eastern Pacific Ocean towards the end of the week. Right now this system looks dry.
