Former UCSB standout James Nunnally signs with Minnesota Timberwolves

James Nunnally is headed back to the NBA.

The former UCSB Gauchos star signs a two-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In 2014, the 6’7 swingman signed two 10-day contracts with the Atlanta Hawks and again with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Since then Nunnally has played overseas and most recently led Fenerbache of Turkey to a EuroLeague title.

Over the past two seasons, Nunnally has made 208 of 400 three-point attempts and last year he shot 55% from three-point distance in Turkey.

He has played in Greece, Puerto Rico, Spain, Israel, Italy and most recently Turkey.

Nunnally played at UCSB from 2008-2012, helping the Gauchos make two NCAA Tournament appearances.
