Holiday Parade Will Return to Downtown Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - Santa Barbara will have a holiday parade on State St. December 4th.

The Downtown Santa Barbara Improvement Association (DSBIA) says Consumer Fire Products will be the Presenting Sponsor and Yardi Systems, new to downtown, will also be a main supporter of this event.

It has drawn an estimated 60,000 spectators along with bands, floats and inflatable holiday characters. The last parade was in 2019 due to the pandemic and other concerns.

Those have included logistics with outside dining parklets now in place over several blocks.

Santa Barbara Police officials are working with the DSBIA on security, road closures and other details for public safety.

The DSBIA is encouraging more sponsors, volunteers, and accepting applications for those who want to participate in the parade at info@downtownsb.org or visit downtownsb.org/holidayparade.
