Wednesday evening forecast – Nov. 6

Santa Barbara, Calif - Marine layer clouds and areas of fog have pushed over the California Central Coast and South Coast the last few mornings, and we can expect more of the same the next few mornings, too. Most of our inland valleys will stay fairly clear and chilly, but coastal areas will be much cloudier and milder. Lows will range from the mid 30s inland to near 50 along the coast.

A ridge of high pressure is gaining control of the weather over California and the rest of the West Coast at this time, and it won't fully release its grip through the middle of next week. We can expect a few mornings of marine layer clouds followed by sun, plenty of sunshine and warmth all weekend, and a few more clouds in our sky early next week, but no chances for rain.

Overnight lows will remain chilly over our inland valleys, but will be much milder closer to the coasts. Coasts and coastal valleys: 40s and lower 50s. Inland valleys: mainly 30s. Daytime highs will be at their coolest Thursday, warming above average after. Coasts: 60s and lower 70s. Coastal Valleys: 70s and lower 80s. Inland Valleys: mainly 80s through next week.
