Olympic Speed Skater Hits the Ice in Goleta

GOLETA, Calif. (KEYT) - Olympic speed skater Viktor Thorup will visit Ice in Paradise in Goleta for an afternoon focused on training, recovery and performance.

Thorup will spend time on the ice and discuss the preparation behind competing at an elite level.

The visit will also explore how breathing techniques can factor into athletic training and recovery.

The event runs from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ice in Paradise on Santa Felicia Drive.
