Businesses Rally in September with Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - Many business have been rallying behind the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation in support of National Child Cancer Awareness month.

One of the supporters has been Grassini winery. In the partnership, Grassini is donating $10.00 for every bottle purchased, and 50 percent of every tasting during what has been called Golden Thursday.
There is also a contribution from wine club memberships.

The funds will help with a new pediatric cancer support center and the services provided by Teddy Bear.

Brittany Avila Wasny is the Executive director of Teddy Bear Cancer.

"So it is the resources. That looks like direct financial resources that they are needing. Because the parents have to step away from work while their child is treatment or to tutor support because as you know their child is in the hospital and of course the emotional support and what this journey means for the whole family."

Also standing with the cause is Mendocino Farms in La Cumbre Plaza, which is donating a portion of its sales today to the Teddy Bear Foundation.
