Santa Maria Businesses Help Clear Pest Problem For Victory Outreach Church

A community came together to help solve a pest issue at a Santa Maria church, celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year.

Victory Outreach Church in Santa Maria houses at risk men.

Mary Hernandez, with Mission City Fumigation of Santa Maria, volunteered the chemicals and labor for fumigating the church. Dead on Termite inspected the church. Labor was all donated.

The project would have cost around $7,000.

Hernandez said, “We believe Victory Outreach is a good organization, we wanted to do as much as we can so they can continue to do their outreach.”

“We think it’s important to give back,” Hernandez said.

Pastor Mike Coleman of the church said he’s grateful for the services. “We have a free rehabilitation program, we deal with gang violence drug addiction alcoholism,” he said.
The building is more than 100 thousand cubic feet. It took seven hours of labor to put it up, it’ll take around three and a half hours to tear down. Men from the church, and fumigation company donated their time.”
The building will be clear by noon Saturday, in time for Easter Sunday.
