Ventura County Prostitution Sting Results in Arrests

A prostitution sting conducted in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks resulted in the arrest of four women, two of which were booked into Ventura County Jail.

Authorities arrested 25-year-old Asia Noel of Sacramento, 31-year-old Oxnard resident Sara Cox, Katherine Cullen, 35, from Las Vegas and 44-year-old Jiayang Yang, a known transient.

They face conspiracy to commit prostitution charges.

The sting operation, carried on by various units from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, aimed at identifying prostituted who may have been victims of human trafficking, as well as identifying their pimps.

Investigators located subjects advertising prostitution services in both cities on the internet. Authorities served search warrants for the motels that the suspects were operating in and took them into custody.

Cox and Cullen were given citations to appear in court.
