Santa Barbara- The countdown has begun. In just five days, Santa Barbara will light up the mission for the opening of Fiesta, and all around town preparations are underway.From float makers to dress makers, the city is energized and gearing up for another spectacular Fiesta. Starting next Wednesday, streets will be packed with people enjoying this historic tradition. In preparation, the Carriage Museum has transformed into a float yard. Starting Saturday 50 to 100 people will begin building the floats that will be seen at next Friday’s El Desfile Histrico, one of the largest equestrian parades in the United States. Elsewhere, at Mely’s Fashions, you can find great deals on that perfect Fiesta ensemble. KEY News Reporter Shirin Rajaee has a preview.
