Mad Hatter Luncheon Raises Festive Funds for Transition House Programs

Hats were welcomed at the lunch table during a fundraiser for the Santa Barbara Transition House this afternoon.

The 18th Annual Mad Hatters luncheon had a “Magic of Mardi Gras” theme with guests wearing beads and both creative and fashionable hats.

The event was held at Bacara Resort and Spa. It was emceed by celebrity host Andrew Firestone who had a crown on his head. Many of the guests also bid on auction items including passes to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, jewelry and entertainment packages.

Funding raised will help Transition House with its operating costs and programs for children. They include tutoring, arts, social outings, literacy and homework help.
