Tracking a pleasant start to September

Happy fist day of September! We start the morning with some marine clouds and a quick clearing trend. Temperatures rise a degree or so from yesterday and winds increase for many. No watches, warnings or advisories are set for the area. It'll be a picture perfect summer day for most. Head to the beaches and enjoy. Overnight lows drop a few degrees and each morning will be additionally chilly for those heading to work and school!

Wednesday will be the warmest of the week. This is when high pressure nudges back into the area and offshore flow increases. Expect 80s for most coastal areas, quick marine layer clearing and a perfect beach day for most.

We cool a few degrees into Thursday and Friday as high pressure retreats once again. Expect 70s for most beaches with a slow clearing pattern. Still a lot of uncertainty with the holiday weekend weather. Rain chances have increased but likelihood of the storm moving west has increased as well. This means high surf and coastal fooding is very likely but big rain impacts from the tropical system has decreased. Tune in later in the week for more information.
