Artists restore murals along Silver Stand Beach
OXNARD, Calif.
Artists restored murals once marred by graffiti.
They painted the La Jenelle murals on Silver sStand in Ventura County.
La Jenelle is the name of a nearby shipwreck.
About 40 artists, including The Rock Fairy, spent the past two weekends working on the new and restored works of art at the end of the strand,
Instead of using regular paint, they used anti-graffiti paint.
People who walk along the beach are sure to notice the difference.
Most of the murals are ocean inspired, others look like postcards and portraits.
