Paso Robles Police arrest 38-year-old on multiple felony charges, finding guns, police scanners, ski mask, duct tape and more in his car
PASO ROBLES, Calif. – Police arrested a 38-year-old Santa Barbara County man on multiple felony charges early morning Wednesday after finding a concealed knife in his waistband led to discovering more weapons in his car, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
The department said a citizen flagged down a Paso Robles Police Officer around 2:00 a.m. at the Golden Hill Mobil, located at 2401 Golden Hill Rd, to report a suspicious person and car at the gas station.
More officers arrived and stopped the driver as he was leaving the gas station, and found a fixed blade knife concealed in his waistband, according to police.
Officers arrested the 38-year-old for the concealed knife. Then, through a search of his car, police said they found ammunition, pepper spray, a stab resistant vest, a stun gun, and a replica Glock handgun.
In addition, officers found a scanner with the channel set to “police,” along with a black ski mask and duct tape, according to the department.
They booked the man into San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple felony charges.
