Motorcyclist killed after being struck by multiple vehicles in Orcutt
ORCUTT, CaIif. — Firefighters responded to a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist and multiple vehicles on Highway 1 near Highway 135 south of Orcutt Wednesday night.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a motorcyclist was reportedly down near the left lane of the highway when he was struck by by multiple vehicles.
SBCFD say, the single male rider was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency personnel were dispatched to the area around 9:23 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol temporarily closed Highway 1 and Highway 135 before reopening it.
The incident is under investigation.
Wednesday's fatal incident marks the second death near Highway 1 and Highway 135.
To recall, the highway near Orcutt was the scene of a fatal incident involving a 57-year-old Lompoc man who was struck by a sedan Saturday evening.
