Plane lands without landing gear at Paso Robles Airport
A plane landed without the use of its landing gear at the Paso Robles Airport on Friday.
The single-engine Piper aircraft touched down at the airport at around 1:45 p.m.
The plane’s landing gear was retracted when it made its landing on the main runway.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found the aircraft on the runway and the pilot out of the plane. The pilot was the only occupant and they were uninjured.
The main runway was closed for about an hour while crews moved the aircraft.
A Paso Robles fire engine and a Cal Fire unit responded to the incident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
