Santa Maria High School Breaks Cultural Barriers With Parents
Santa Maria High School administration says a cultural clash they have with parents is growing with their Hispanic population.
Parents say they want to be more involved in their children’s education, but don’t know how; one mother tells News Channel 3 she ends up feeling frustrated and excluded.
To address this disconnect, administrators thought it’d be a great idea to team up with experts in Los Angeles and visit the Museum of Tolerance.
They believe the trip will open up minds and a discussion on how parents want to be more involved.
The group will return next week with a two-year agenda.
