Santa Maria Police Arrest 13 People in Operation
Thirteen people were arrested in a sweep operation performed by the Santa Maria Police Department that targeting offenders that were on the loose.
Saturday’s joint operation led to the arrest of 13 people on drug charges or outstanding warrants. Also, if they were caught doing or in possession of any illegal activity, it was added to a list of charges.
The operation focused on the north side of town, where police say in the past, crime has been high.
Police also announced the arrest of four men they are calling high level, high- ranking gang members: Anthony Noska, and Raymond Cardona. Both men were involved in two separate assaults in 2010 and 2012.
Jonathan Hays and Arturo Renteria are also in custody for unrelated charges and were also charged with assaults.
