The Hideaway Model Homes Open in Goleta
Goleta is now home to a new community called The Hideaway Bungalows and Coastal Preserve.
Chuck Lande of the Chadmar Group bought the land in 1999, before Goleta was a city.
The city council didn’t give it the green light right away, but in 2010 the Coastal Commission approved the project with an open space condition.
About 60 percent of the 14-acre project is dedicated to open space.
There are 101 units with prices between $600,000 and $1 million.
But looking at the models on Hollister Avenue across from the Sandpiper Golf Club is free.
