Condo Fire in Montecito

MONTECITO – A plumber suffered minor injuries after a fire started at the condominium he was working on.It happened on the 1900 block of North Jameson Road in Montecito about 10:15 Wednesday morning.Neighbors tell KEY News the plumber was working on a water heater when a nearby pipe burst into flames.Fire officials are trying to figure out exactly what caused the fire.Geri Ventura with the Montecito Fire Protection District said “there is still an investigation, but it appears it started in the first floor and spread to the the sub floor between the first and second floor.”The unidentified plumber suffered smoke inhalation and singed arm hair. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and released.
