We are now getting our first look at the first baby born in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties in 2020.

Leo was born at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria weighing in at eight pounds and four ounces.

His mom, Daisha, and dad, Bernardo, say they are overjoyed about their New Year's gift.

This is the second baby for the happy couple who also have a daughter. Both mom and baby are doing well.

The first baby born this year in Santa Barbara is DashShawn Jean Jaimes-Denson.

He was born at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at Cottage Hospital to parents Taylor Jaimes and Terrell Denson.


Bady Brody is the first baby born in 2020 in SLO County

Sierra Vista Medical Center in San Luis Obispo introduced the first baby born in 2020 at its hospital.

Baby Brody was born at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday morning. He weighs seven pounds and six ounces.

Staff at Sierra Vista say they are happy to share the memorable moment with the community.


Brooklyn is the first baby born at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton

Tenet Health Central Coast's Twin Cities Community Hospital finally welcomed their first 2020 baby on Jan. 2.

Baby Brooklyn was born to parents Katrina and Jack Persons at 6:41 p.m. She weighs eight pounds and eleven ounces and is 20.5 inches tall.

Brooklyn is the third baby the Persons' have had at the Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton.
