Santa Barbara Woman Dies in Highway Crash

California Highway Patrol released the name of the woman who died in a car crash on Highway 154.

Keri Dee Savala of Santa Barbara was driving a Toyota Camry when it struck an embankment.

The crash happened on San Marcos Pass near Painted Cave Road, north of San Antonio Creek Road last Friday. Only one car was involved.

Savala was 51-years-old and pronounced dead at the scene.

Both sides of the highway were closed for three hours while authorities conducted their investigation.

Officials are trying to figure out what caused the crash.
