Out of control car smashes into Petrini’s restaurant
A car careened into Petrini’s restaurant this morning when the driver lost control in the parking lot of the Calle Real Center in Goleta.
An elderly driver and his passenger were able to get out without serious injuries.
Santa Barbara County Fire and Sheriff’s units were on the scene within moments.
Employees were in the back and the kitchen area of the restaurant and were not hit by flying glass when the Toyota sedan smashed into the building.
One witness said the vehicle went backwards, hit a truck, and then the driver went forward, over the curb, and into the front facade of the building.
