Opening day of Dallas Cowboys’ training camp
America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys, has returned to Oxnard for another training camp and thousands of fans were there to welcome them back.
On opening day, the fans arrived early and pumped to see the Cowboys in action. Some fans said they got in line around 2 a.m.
The Dallas Cowboys will be practicing on the field on Vineyard Avenue for the next four weeks. The public is invited to attend their daily 4 p.m. practice.
The free practices draw more than 150,000 fans from across the country to the city of Oxnard.
All those fans equal a financial touchdown for Ventura County. A study done by UCSB last year found that visitors poured more than $2.2 million into the local economy.
The Thomas family traveled from Fresno to come see the Cowboys. They spent more than $900 on their three-day trip to Oxnard, and they say it is completely worth it.
