Ojai residents no longer have to boil their water
An order to boil water before using it in parts of Ojai has been lifted.
City Manager Rob Clark said the problem started when Golden State Water Company crews were trying to replace a water main near Grand Avenue.
A loss of water pressure was putting water quality was at risk. About 1,000 water customers were affected.
One resident said someone came to her door and handed out a flyer explaining how water used for drinking, cooking or cleaning should be boiled for at least a minute. Some residents used bottled water to play it safe.
The water passed quality tests Thursday and the boil order was lifted.
