El Encanto officially opens
The new El Encanto Hotel is now officially open.
City leaders joined hotel officials for a special ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday evening.
The hotel had it’s soft opening in June.
The historic property sold back in 2007. It’s been undergoing major renovations ever since.
The owners worked closely with Santa Barbara’s Historic Landmarks commission to make sure the hotel remained true to its original design.
The hotel has 92 individually designed California-style bungalows, some dating back to the 1920’s.
