Local Jobs Rank in Pay Study

Manufacturing jobs pay well, but in some places they pay much more than others.A website called “24-7 Wall Street Wire,” reviewed a new Brookings’ study and ranked the top paying manufacturing jobs in metropolitan areas.The wire put Oxnard,Thousand Oaks and Ventura together and ranked it fifth in manufacturing pay.The area’s average manufacturing wage is more than 87-thousand five hundred dollars a year.That’s 35 thousand more than the areas average wage.And jobs losses in the sector were lower than the nation as a whole.
