Small brush fire contained in San Luis Obispo
Firefighters contained a small brush fire in the Irish Hills area in San Luis Obispo Thursday.
The fire was first reported around 10:20 a.m. along Prefumo Canyon Road.
Within about an hour of the fire starting, firefighters said crews had accessed the area where the fire was burning.
Firefighters say it was contained to a 30 by 50 foot spot.
San Luis Obispo City Fire and CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo responded.
CAL FIRE airtankers were brought in to drop retardant on the fire while ground crews made their way up the hills and to the fire.
