Dallas Cowboys training in Oxnard raises concerns for blocking residential views; staff meeting postponed to next week

OXNARD, Calif. — The annual arrival of the Dallas Cowboys to the training camp in Oxnard tends to spark excitement for local residents and avid football fans.

However, this year, many residents at the Gallery at River Ridge have complained about the construction that is taking place, calling it invasive. Others have questioned its legality.

A meeting was scheduled for Wednesday at the Residence Inn by Marriott that will feature Cowboys security staff, representatives from Oxnard Police Department, and the City of Oxnard Planning Division.

This meeting has since been postponed to next week.

The meeting is exclusively for the River Ridge community to address any concerns and answer and questions regarding the Cowboys Training Camp’s impact on the community.

Following the meeting, the Cowboys staff will conduct a tour of the training camp facilities for those interested.
